Regarding the security of US data from China, the leader of the US Federal Communications Commission has spoken of removing the Tiktok app.
The leader of the US Federal Communications Commission said that Apple and Google Store should remove China's app Tiktok from their stores as soon as possible.
You must know that the Tiktok app is a wildly popular app on which people make shorts videos and this app is from China.
You may remember that India had also banned this Chinese app Tiktok on 29 June 2020 citing security issues, due to which China had also lost a lot.
Brendan Carr, a leader of the US Federal Communications Commission, shared a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai via Twitter.
Brendan Carr has told the CEO of both the companies through his letter that the policies of Tiktok do not follow the policy of both the app stores, so remove the Tiktok app from their respective stores.
Brendan Carr further said in his letter – “TikTok app is not what it looks like it is not just a platform for sharing short videos. Tiktok is in sheep's clothing."
Brendan Carr added, "The TikTok app acts as a sophisticated surveillance tool that harvests vast amounts of personal and sensitive data."
