An Australian television network apologized for its chief executive's remarks to actress Emilia Clarke as a "short, dumpy girl" during an event this week.

 According to Australian news site Crikey, Delany was describing the way he arrived late to start the show "Game of Thrones," where Clarke portrays Daenerys Targaryen.

"I was like, 'What's this show with the short, dumpy girl walking into the fire?'" He reportedly said, in reference to Daenerys.
